The Asian-American Student Union is one of the largest student organizations at the University of Minnesota. It is an umbrella organization that works with 17 different affiliate organizations. ASU also works in collaboration with bigger companies for sponsorships. It is an organization that stands to represent diversity and the culture of Asian American Pacific Islanders.

 

When I was elected to be on the board for ASU for the 2015–2016 school year, my first task as the Multimedia Coordinator was to re-design the logo. They said their vision was to have a logo that would be memorable and long-lasting, as they had been changing their logo quite frequently. My restrictions for the logo was that it had to have a professional look to it while also maintaining a fun, social visual aspect to it.
